Calcium Cyclamate is a white crystalline powder with a sweet-sour taste. It is used as a nonnutritive low-calorie sweetener choice ( but prohibited in some countries due to possible carcinogenic effects of its metabolic products). It is soluble in water and in ethanol. It is known about 30 times sweeter than sucrose. | ||
